The "nisse" (danish) or "tomte" (sweedish) is a creature from nordic folklore. Its a sort of guardian spirit on the 18th century farmsteads, helping the farmers or sometimes teasing them - depending on how they were treated.

Really great drawing, their cruel look, and the dimensions are great to with the keys in their hand. They look cute, but you can see they have a bite to them.
